Can You Help?

I'm a pretty poor photographer so dust is difficult to highlight in pictorial terms. But it exists, on a grand scale. I'm asthmatic, there are a lot of us in Penmaenmawr. I'm not a doctor and have not conducted any research but it has to have an impact. Check out my wheelbarrow.

OK these are not clear. What they are is a set of snaps after some very heavy rain. This is the dust that has been washed down from the site. This stuff usually runs into the sea through the streams and culverts, on this occasion they couldn't cope. These are along the side of the main road.

There are a couple of pictures that didn't come out well. There is one of a culvert gushing this stuff out into the sea and another of a 1/4 mile delta of this crud in the sea from the outflow. What would that do to our Blue Flag status if it were noticed by the environment agency?

And my wheelbarrow. This was left out for maybe a week and collected some rain water. I tipped the water out and found this. Don't forget this barrow is brand new and unused. This stuff has to be thick in the atmosphere. Honestly, this has worried me.

Hanson have now opened a "grading" plant above Penmaenan. Traveling west into Penmaenmawr from Conwy I have seen the dust pouring off the mountain. This is what landed on my car whilst I was at work.
